BEONDTV- Kids say the darndest things…

OK, you’re wondering why I misspelled the word ‘BEYOND.’ I didn’t, but it shows me that you’re paying attention. Actually, one of the founders of the BEONDTV digital platform network told me that they had misspelled the word ‘BEYOND‘ in a fourth-grade spelling bee. and spelled, “B-E-O-N-D.”

Who remembers things like that? Well, that fourth-grade story is the genesis for BEONDTV. Who knew? Before we go any further, I want you to meet my friend, and one of the founders of BEONDTV, Carlos Amezcua.

Introducing a gentleman, an award-winning newscaster, a visionary, and a delightful guy…

As a member of the Board of Directors at the ”Surfing Heritage and Culture Center,” (SHACC), I have the opportunity to meet and work with many accomplished and celebrated surfers, shapers, photographers, videographers, writers, and media personalities.

Carlos Amezcua is one of these celebrated individuals and the source of this story. Carlos and I met during one of our SHACC Board of Directors and Advisory Council all day strategy meetings.

He serves on our Advisory Council, is a surfer, and also happens to be a 22-time “Emmy Award” winning veteran newsman with over 35 years of reporting, anchoring, and commenting on global news events.

And for nearly 20 years, Carlos was the co-anchor of the top-rated KTLA morning news, where he and his team are credited for changing morning television in America with innovation and personality. So, what’s next?

Award-winning media professionals want to change the way the world consumes content…

Earlier, I told you about one of the founders spelling the word, ‘BEYOND’ ‘B-E-O-N-D.’ Well, here’s what became of that misspelled word.

Four broadcasting veterans in news, entertainment, branding, and monetization, decided to inaugurate a new TV video platform and expose a worldwide audience to a “Southern California” viewpoint with No Bias and No Interference, to showcase authentic, captivating, informative, and entertaining “issue-driven” news and original content from media professionals and gifted story-tellers. Hmmm, this sounds interesting!

Those four broadcasting veterans are Co-Founders and On-Air Hosts, Carlos Amezcua and Lisa Remillard, F ounder, and President, Amie Martin, and Founder, and COO/CTO, Howard Bolter.

That misspelled word in the 4th grade became the name for their new TV Platform, “BEONDTV.” A TV Platform that will be everything traditional TV isn’t, but everything you would like it to be. OK, please tell me more.

Southern California is home to influencers, movie stars, innovators, and visionaries, and did you know that over 150 languages are spoken in Southern California? Wow, that alone is a global audience!

“Carlos and Lisa” – A daily half-hour talk and lifestyle show that’s lively, engaging, and is like none other…

The idea was to structure this new platform with a lineup of curated high-end original content that will be accessible on the BEOND.TV site, as well as through local broadcast outlets.

Carlos brings his wealth of local and international experience and insight to the ”Carlos & Lisa” show as well as his warm and sincere personality.

Lisa Remillard returns to L.A. where she grew up. She has more than 15 years of award-winning work in television. And did I mention that she has a gifted smile, infectious upbeat personality, sincere, intelligent, and (I like this part), received a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a Masters Degree in Strategic Public Relations from U.S.C. Fight on!, Lisa.

They tackle all of the timely news of the day and other topics that truly matter to Southern Californians. They’ll entertain you with a fresh perspective on politics, travel, business, family, health and provide stimulating interviews with aspiring entertainers, entrepreneurs, and a medley of intriguing dedicated people that are making a difference in all of our lives.

You’ll see products that you’ve never seen before and technology you probably don’t understand, (but want to.)

“In the chaos and the uncertainty, lies The Opportunity”…

Last year, Carlos developed a program that is indicative of the fresh ideas and inspiration from the BEONDTV family.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on all of us and the ’Chaos and Uncertainty’ for small businesses and restaurants has been devastating.

Small businesses of all sizes constitute a major force in our economy and generate over 50% of our (GDP) Gross Domestic Product. The biggest challenge in the immediate future for the majority of them will be “Cash-Flow,’ followed then by questions of consumer confidence and consumer demand. Small businesses definitely can’t rely on financial assistance from the government, so they must look at other options.

The Opportunity…

BEONDTV provides ”storytelling” to display and promote the human spirit and the human element of small businesses, non-profits, and charities across Southern California.

The business owner(s) or representatives are interviewed remotely by Carlos Amezcua and Lisa Remillard about their business, their stories, and how they can be reached. BEONDTV provides all production, post-production, and distribution. Their video segments are widely distributed on the”Carlos & Lisa Show- KDOCTV-BEOND.TV-ROKU- KSL TV App – YouTube, and the BEONDTV social media channels.

The Sponsors…

SCE (Southern California Edison) recognized the opportunity and took action to sponsor and invest in some inspirational people to promote their ideas and shine a light on the businesses that were in need of recognition and financial support for their target audience, awareness, and beyond.

The sponsor’s logo appears on the lower right side of the video throughout the interview of the sponsored business, non-profit, or charity. The small business owner(s) or representatives will receive a copy of their video interview too.

SCE (Southern California Edison’s) initial sponsorships focused on their customers in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Well, the enthusiastic response from viewers prompted them to sponsor a second series of small businesses.

Collaborating with BEONDTV to support and promote the inspirational “risk-takers,” entrepreneurs,” and emerging businesses reflect their leadership qualities. When you evoke action, we all benefit. Who inspires you? Who would you like to help?

We’re reaching out to prominent businesses in Southern California to be a champion for small businesses, non-profits, and charities that they would like to support and take advantage of this Opportunity provided by BEONDTV.

Contact: Carlos Amezcua at: Carlos@beond.tv, or Amie Martin at: Amie@beond.tv for more information about sponsorships for the “Small Business Initiative.” You’ll be delighted that you did.

“Innovation and Personality”….that sounds like BEONDTV. As I said earlier, they’re everything that traditional TV isn’t, and everything you want it to be….
