Bill began his career at the Beverly Hills, CA. office of Coldwell Banker. His professional experience covers a wide range of retail disciplines on ‘both sides of the desk,’ and in every major US market and Hawaii. These include mixed-use centers, urban renewal, resort retail, entertainment, lifestyle centers, and adaptive re-use of existing properties.
He has extensive experience in lease negotiations, market research, product designation, collaboration with architects and designers, and developing leasing and merchandising plans.
The EDDY Company
Bill is the founder of The EDDY Company, organized in 1990 while living in Honolulu, HI. The company provides consulting services for retailers, restaurants, developers, and managers in Hawaii and on the U.S. mainland.
His knowledge and experience in the retail, development and architectural industries, coupled with excellent relationships provided a strong foundation to work with clients in all areas of retail and entertainment.
Bill found that he had a passion for writing and in 2005, he launched The Eddy Line, a personal newsletter about what inspires him, his travels, his clients, the business world, his friends, life in Hawaii, and the Spirit of ‘Aloha.’ - A way of life and the essence of relationships, and mutual respect and affection for others.
The EDDY Line
In 2010, he began writing a book. A loosely structured autobiography of an American boy and his journey through life. The result was ”Loves, Life & Laughter,” the highly enjoyable journey of Bill ‘Aloha’ Eddy. a legacy for his family and future generations.
Bill’s passion for Hawaii, its diverse culture, and the Aloha Spirit has provided exciting new opportunities and a new direction for him.
As a result, he decided that it was time to design a new website that reflects his ‘Aloha’ way of life, and his love for media and Hawaii.
(SHACC) – Surfing Heritage & Culture Center
In 2017, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Surfing Heritage and Culture Center (SHACC) in San Clemente, CA. Home to the world’s most significant and authoritative archive of surfing artifacts, surfboards, video, photography and scholarly works.
“Addicted to Joy” – An Historical Documentary
Bill is also the Co-Producer with noted Filmmaker, Ricard Newman of “Addicted to Joy,” a passionate and historical documentary film that is dedicated to the men and women that shaped the “Soul of Surfing.” “We honor those surfers and shapers – and honor that history,” he said.
BEONDTV – Original content Global viewing platform
Serving on the Board of Directors at SHACC provided the opportunity to meet Carlos Amezcua, co-founder of BEONDTV, a new TV video platform that exposes a worldwide audience to a “Southern California” viewpoint, with no bias.
He was offered an opportunity to join BEONDTV as the Exec. V.P. Business Development. What a wonderful opportunity to work with exceptional people and ground breaking video platform that is everything traditional TV isn’t, and everything you want it to be, it is!
